Equity indices on Monday finished the last trading day of 2018 on a flat note after witnessing a volatile session. The benchmark BSE Sensex ended 8 points or 0.02 per cent lower at 36,068, while the broader NSE Nifty closed with a marginal gain of 3 points or 0.02 per cent at 10,863.
