Sensex, Nifty end lower as Reserve Bank holds rates

On BSE, Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Motors and Mahindra and Mahindra were among the major losers, sliding as much as 5.49 per cent. On the NSE platform, except for Nifty IT, all other sub-indices tracked losses with Nifty Metal down 3.68 per cent.
