'Service charge not distributed to workers by eateries liable to I-T'

The Central Board of Direct Taxes wants to conduct surveys on eateries who are still levying service charge.The direction came after the consumer affairs ministry told CBDT about consumer complaints.If service charges have been levied, the receipts should be fully disclosed as part of the turnover of the hotel/restaurant.
