With breach in belly, AI Express plane was in air for 4 hrs

The Air India Express aircraft, with 136 people on board, suffered a gash in the belly after hitting a ground-based antenna and then the perimeter wall of Trichy airport on Friday. Sources said some 30-40 minutes after departure, Bangalore's air traffic control (ATC) was informed by its Trichy counterparts about the damaged airport wall.
