Ola, Uber fares went up by 15% in last one year

While the average cost per ride has risen to Rs 220, compared to around Rs 190 last year, the average income of drivers which used to be above Rs 30,000 in the second quarter of 2016, hovered around Rs 20,000 a month now. Rising fuel prices also made a dent. Two years ago, incentives were about 60% of booking value then it came to 18-20% in 2017, and is 14-15% now.
