Sensex ramps up more than 200 points, Nifty closes above 10,500

30-share BSE Sensex ​​gained 224.50 points to close at 38,242.81 while the broader 50-share NSE Nifty finished trading at 11,536.90, up 59.95 points. Both the indices gained more than half a per cent. ​The markets had opened on a volatile note in the morning.
