Nifty regains 11,700 as markets open positive; Wipro up 5.5%

30-share BSE Sensex crossed 38,900-mark in pre-opening trade. However, as the trading started, it erased some of the gains. At 9.37 am, the index was up 118 points and was comfortable above the 38,750-mark. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty too regained the psychological mark of 11,700 in early trade.
