MNCs seek health policies that cover gay partners of staff

Following the decriminalisation of Section 377, many MNCs have approached insurance companies seeking a group health policy that will cover partners of those in same-sex relationships. For life insurance companies, this is not an issue as the policyholder has the freedom to choose the nominee. The aim is to provide equal benefits to all employees.
